Well, it wasn't a bad book.
Yes, I could see 50 Shades in the book, but the similarities were implemented differently. They're both erotic romance. I'm not expecting great literature here just entertainment.
Romances are like 90% the same even the erotic. They're just spicier.
For me, I liked Nathaniel and Abby's best friend (name escapes me) the best. They're slightly more fleshed out than everyone else.
In a general comparative, I found that 50 Shades is a bit more (i guess the right word would be) romantic than this one. The scenes are not so in-your-face as The Submissive's scenes. Not that is a bad thing. In-your-face is great when you're in the mood for it.
All-in-all a good read.

Jesus. Who copied who? Fifty shades or this carbon copy.
I've read erotica better, severely better than this and while the power exchange was nothing short of chef's kiss, the ending blew the ball for me.

Read this when it was Twilight fan fic. I'm surprised it took so long to get this published.
This was definitely a reread, as I must have read this completed fanfiction at a time while Master of the Universe was still updating. I'll agree with some of the reviewers here as this doesn't hold up that great as it's own universe, given how little characters get their own characterization, but I'm not actually sure how different that is to the romance genre at large, as it's not one I've widely read.

This book was spice-heavy, and for that reason the plot suffered. I would have loved to see the characters develop more, and a delve into their individual story's would have encouraged me to continue with the series.
