I love love this book. I love how complex the characters are, when we’re in toms perspective I side with him, when we’re in Ming’s perspective I side with her. Both are capable of cruelty and compassion and are selfish and generous. Their relationship examines what love is and how it changes as we change. I kept yelling at them to just break up but I know how hard it is to let go of something that was once so perfect. It’s okay for love to change and that’s beautiful.
