this book was so well written and the characters were so complex. The ending felt a little rushed but still was unexpected.

Twists and turns oh my! This was such a fun read and I had no reason to guess any of the crazy things that happened. While there was some behaviour of the main character that made me roll my eyes there was enough rationale to forgive it in the context of the story. If you like thrillers you have to pick this one up!

As soon as I picked up this book, I was pulled into a thrilling and fantastic read. As a massive fan of Adele Parks, I had high expectations for her latest release and was not disappointed. Readers like myself will find "First Wife's Shadow" a gripping page-turner, filled with suspense, scandal, and secrets from start to finish, delivering some genuinely jaw-dropping moments.

The main characters, Emma, Matthew, and Becky, are captivating leads because of their intricate moralities. Even though some surprises can be anticipated, Parks skillfully crafts a world that is both realistic and full of drama. If circumstances had permitted, I would have been able to finish this book at a much faster pace. This is a must-read for fans of this genre or author and would make the perfect summer read in 2024.
