Great book with some great twists and turns. Only one I saw coming!
I have conflicting feelings about this book. There were things I liked and things I hated.
I hated Emma's POV, so the first half of the book was hard to get through.
Things got better by the halfway point and I found the book hard to put down. The writing style is a bit convulted and there were too many unnecessary passages.
I also disliked the ending. I don't understand why these thriller authors feel the need to wrap up everything in a nice and happy (and unrealistic) little ending.

The book begins with a fun “will they, won’t they” series of chapters. (They do otherwise there’s no book lol)
I liked Emma’s chapters, her life, and her friends. They felt so real and that’s something I really love about Miss Park’s writing.
I did not care for Becky’s chapters. She was just tiresome and monologuing. I can’t stand monologuing.
However, when the twists started unraveling though, it got wild and crazy. Loved it!
What I found to be the main shock factor, is this type of thing could happen to anyone and that definitely brought extra chills.

My first Adele Parks book and it won’t be my last.
This came highly recommended by a few people and I’m so pleased I chose this one.
Fantastic characters - some you love, some you hate and some you will come to change your opinion of!!
I loved that there was a big reveal about 60% into the book but that there were still some lovely shocks and surprises to come in the remaining 40%.
For someone who reads a lot of thrillers I had my suspicions and theories 👀 and I loved that there were moments that kept me guessing!
There are some multi POV’s in the latter half of the book and this gave a greater insight and understanding to things.
Don’t hesitate to pick up this book for a tense and thrilling read!
