Started out okay, but ended up in a whole bunch of mumbo jumbo. I couldn't understand much of what happened during the last third? half? of the book. Plus the concept of the journal was only loosely kept to - the amount of detail that he's able to include is unreasonable for someone hurt/sick/running for his life. And the ending was eye-rollingly awful.
Plus the story concept is nothing unique. There's no new twist or new take on the zombie apocalypse story. But the first book was a quick and fun brain-dead (heh) read in a way the second wasn't.

EHRMAGAH ZOMBEHS!
It's a zombie book. If you like zombie books, post-apocalyptic survival and all that, you'll probably like this. If you don't, skip it.
I liked this book but some of the narrative was a little hard to follow, and got a little heavy in military action. And that's coming from someone who LOVES Tom Clancy. I'm not sure the author is very good at clear military action narrative.
But whatever, you didn't need all those details anyway. Good enough, I'll read the third! Where is it??

This was the perfect read after my last book on the history of cancer. This is a no-brainer - zombie joke intended! Fast paced, action filled adventure. It reminded me of those old cliff-hanger, pulp novels. Don't look for something deep just enjoy the ride.
Good follow-up to Bourne's first story, but it was missing a little bit of the pizazz of the first. The first one was all highs and this one had some highs and lows... but was still a great read.
