A super-powerful necromance who is a hot-mess and somehow, despite mad hard-to-find skills can't get a decent income. Nope.

Took a bit to get into. Allie a bit annoying at first. Esp with her OTT anger and aggression for no real reason that I could see. She was just kind of a bitch. But she grew on me. Kind of like the annoying Leo grew on her actually. No reason - she didn't actually change, or have a reason or excuse for her bad temper and bitchiness I just got used to it and started to care about her. I prefer some romance in my UF and this was very light on for that. Not even a decent prospect for a good portion of the story and I did NOT like her partner Rico as a future romantic interest (having sex with and defending the reporter that is bullying Allie does not make him attractive as a future bf for her) so I was very happy with the introduction of FBI agent Sean late in the piece as he seems to be cool and very appreciative of how ka Allie is.

Recieved from Silver Dagger Book Tours

Allies is a Corpse Whisperer, not only can she raise them up, she always puts them back down. In the time when city is full of zombies, who are turning crazies and weirder, her job is very important. And very messy. :) Allies is the kind of character I like to read about, she is though, full of sarcasm and a little bit quirky.

The story is very intense, once I started I couldn't stop reading, till the last page. There are many unexpected twist and turns. I liked the supernatural aspect of the story very much and Allie made it fun to read. :)

I don't normally read zombie books. This one I couldn't put down. I bought it on a whim at a book con and am very happy I did.
