I couldn't have loved this book more. It's such a good quick read. This would be great for anyone in a reading slump..

The story was good, the book was slow for me. I do love all things witches especially when they’re coming into their powers and facing the struggles of learning to control their powers. A Discovery of Witches was my first YA Fantasy so this book already was riding on a positive chance of me liking it.

I love how this book deals with the environment and the challenges we face in today’s world and the loving yourself aspect. Also, love how magic works in different seasons in this one!

This was my first book of the year that I read and it only took me three days! The second day I read it I read 20 chapters! The Nature of witches was so good I couldn’t put it down! I’m so glad I chose it as my first book of the year!!!!

Less abstract than the blurb seemed to indicate, which was good since it was easier to read. Somehow I thought this was the first book in a series. Hm. Nice magic system.

This book deals a lot with guilt and grieve, and it's more towards psychological than it is a fantasy. I'm not sure because it is a standalone or whatnot, but the conflict do feel unimportant even though it has been building towards it. Maybe it can have more of the tension that it does have now. World building is okay, the use of nature as the magic system is intriguing, but the plot is too plain that it doesn't do justice for the idea. Main characters are cute but plain. But I still had a good time reading this.
