As Jack Edwards said, "A Clothbound Classic!". There aren't many phrases out there which would describe this book more accurately. But if I read it as a child, I would have loved it more and dare I say I would have aspired to be more like Tom Sawyer :")
I had this book in my collection for over 12 years and I'm glad that I finally came around and finished it. It was a good read

tom sawyer is truly the most unredeemable character I have ever read. just was not a fan of watching him get away with shit for an entire book. giving this a 2 instead of a 1 because there were some one liners I laughed at (“when it seemed to him that it must be nearly daylight, he heard to clock strike ten! this was despair.” & “the boys borrowed a skiff from a citizen who was absent.”). also appreciated how this book captured the fairy / pirate believing stage of childhood where everything is supernatural and magic.

spoilers with no context:
-is it me? am I the drama?
-thai soccer team stuck in a cave
-the goonies (probably could write an essay on the similarities between those stories)
-the first A text after ali’s funeral

also TIL the adventures of tom sawyer and the adventures of huck finn are different books!! kept waiting for them to take a raft down the river and they never did.
