Is this fantasy or not? Because it definetly has some elements I‘d expect in Fantasy but I think the author wants to go the realistic thriller route.
Overall the book was okay. I was really drawn in in the beginning then the plot went somewhere I didn‘t really expected it to and I was kinda bored despite interesting stuff happening. I did get used to it and kinda liked it again once we reached the middle which was nice.
At this point I don‘t really care about the characters but I will keep reading for the mystery

Would have been 1 star because the protagonist is a thirsty dumbass but the plot helped the book to be a 2 stars read.

would be three stars if it wasn't for Jack and Stellan, which are the two reasons why I am headed for book two . . .

3.5 stars. Super fun & quick. Enjoyable and fast-paced. Lots of simplistic phrasing and writing, lots of predictable moments, but overall enjoyable.
