Reading this YA thriller was similar to sitting down with a bag of candy or popcorn. Fun, addictive - I gulped it down. Not necessarily nutrient filled but it didn't matter in the moment.
This was semi-predictable, but still a really fun read. I enjoyed learning about this conspiracy that deals a lot with history. The traveling was also pretty fun. I liked (didn't love) the characters and hope the next one will be even better!

An adventurous YA that reminds me of The DaVinci Code.
This was a lot of fun. Improbable, wildly unrealistic, cliche, and unbelievable, but fun. I wish the characters had been more well-rounded -- they felt a bit like placeholders and not really like actual people -- especially the protagonist and the two boys. I'm not sure I'd read another one of these since I just kept hoping for it to go a little deeper and it never did ... but maybe I will.
