2 stars for sudden extreme violence. Had I known it was going there I wouldn't have started it.

An adventurous YA that reminds me of The DaVinci Code.

This was a lot of fun. Improbable, wildly unrealistic, cliche, and unbelievable, but fun. I wish the characters had been more well-rounded -- they felt a bit like placeholders and not really like actual people -- especially the protagonist and the two boys. I'm not sure I'd read another one of these since I just kept hoping for it to go a little deeper and it never did ... but maybe I will.

I read this book when it first came out and I was obsessed. I absolutely loved the concept and world and made so many spin offs of it in my head. Rereading this as an adult was an experience. At times it felt very wattpad but maybe that’s me reading YA as an adult. I notice some silly parts more now and plot holes and worst of all when they state inaccuracies in history. Despite all this I still loved it. the vibes are still there think national treasure meets 2000s CW show. great romance
Was 3 stars for a lot but by the end I felt like 4.5

It wasn't a horrible book. If your looking for a fun book to read, then this is a good choice.

Omg, what an emotional rollercoaster! I need book number 2 now!
