Solid romance, though I must admit I thought this was a college book and was somewhat taken aback when the characters were high schoolers. I'm glad there's stuff like this out there now. This was a fun read!

3.75 out of 5 stars!
this was so cute, while dealing with complex themes that the characters were dealing with! the last 50 pages were when it got really great for me — the football game at the end was so fun to read about and made me wish that we had spent more time following the characters during their specific sports!

Cute and cozy queer high school romance. I was worried it was going to feel too young for me (a as someone in their late 20s) but she kept the elements relatable and didn’t add extremely detailed sex scenes like I’ve seen in some books about teens (which is a big red flag on those authors).
I feel like the details about Robbie’s life and death were lacking andAmber agreeing to be part of the sabotage against Jack felt unnecessary since they continued to exclude her from planning. That was definitely a throwaway plot line. Also, what did the cheerleaders even plan? That was never addressed. Only what the football players planned, which wouldn’t explain the need for cheerleaders to disappear on game day.
Overall I loved the story and vibe but the plot holes/lines that were said that are big points and never addressed again were too glaring to go above 3.5 stars.

Charming and cute. I liked both protagonists and their journeys.
