Didn't like the prose and tone, the character or plot.

I feel that Monique Roffey has a really unique/distinct writing style that alongside the actual plot of the novel challenges the way I view things. I think I could read anything she writes, is v poetic imo. Makes me feel rather clever and introspective to read her books but they’re still accessible and heartwarming.

One of those rare books that tells a hard story, makes your brain work and is still somehow lovely.
