A group of people are involved in a robbery at à coffee shop and become friends when they all join a class at Fearless Inc. There they learn from the teacher, Zeus, to overcome their fears and stand up for themselves. The story is told from two POV: Emily and Liv, both of whom are downtrodden but come out on top. It’s a little silly, fun read.
Love Jen Lancaster and I read all her books but this one was just so so for me. As others have said, the forced Gen Z speak was a little cringey, but I thought the overall story and premise was fun. It was a quick read for me on the plane.

A disappointing read that was full of flat characters and a meandering plot. The premise was good but the plot suffered due to weak characters.
I could just tell exactly how this book was going to play out after the first two chapters. Clearly the professor will end back up in an active position in environmental activism and dump her lousy BF and the real estate agent will finally stop being a people pleaser , move from her parents home and start her own business. All while learning some self defense I guess? Pass. Both characters felt insufferable already.
I got 2 chapters in. The main character was so vapid - she is bored of everything about her life, she is afraid of women who workout and don't pay attention to her, she successfully got her college to require environmental studies but is unhappy she has to teach all the 101 classes now, she loves kids so much she permits them to do anything to her - and I just couldn't go on. Reading the summary now, I suspect I got this as a freebie at the first of the month from Kindle, so I'm hoping I didn't pay for it. DNF'd
