I really enjoyed this book, going into it with zero expectations. Fascinating read with interesting topics touched upon. I felt for Frankenstein but I also felt for the monster, awakened in an unknown world, bound to never feel like he belongs.

Incredible! Miles away from what I expected this book to be about (i.e. a monster mash [i.e. a graveyard smash]). It's a book about a person who alienates himself from society, literally flees to the Arctic Circle and dies RATHER than admit to his friends and family the scope of his failures....I feel that.

Good story but keep in mind you're reading something from the 19th century. It's very verbose.
