The story of killing your dad for bringing you into this cruel world stands the test of time. Can't say that I loved the writing, especially that 3 narrators apparently all spoke identically, but whatever she was like 18 years old when she wrote this. When I was 18, I tried to do NaNoWriMo for the only time in my life and it was a complete disaster, I don't even know if I had a plot or anything.

A haunting tale about responsibility, monstrocity, perception, and mercy or the refusal of it. One of my favorite classics and one whose themes struck me while reading.

I'm not a big fan of classics but I was trying to challenge myself. I thought that as a horror lover, this would be a good place to start. Unfortunately, it was just a bit too slow. I would just pause it and try to come back to it but since it's a library book, I'm just going to say DNF and maybe start it again later on.
