It was a great quick read... I found the dates hilarious especially the Married Man....

Sarah did come across as a little... Robotic, especially during her dating interrogations....

Still John hovering in the background was her savior knight...

Review: Sarah is a 29 year old museum curator and seems to be the only “single girl” left among her group of friends. The loose circle of four girlfriends including Sarah were supposed to have a single girls night-out on New Years’ but it seems that the other three somehow managed to get themselves into relationships and now Sarah is left being the last single girl. And the single girls night-out has been turned into a couples’ night-out.
So Sarah is under immediate pressure to find a date within one month and decides that internet dating would probably be the easiest way to find a suitable one. As she goes out on different dates in the coffee shop-Brew Ha Ha owned by a sweet, awesome guy named John she realizes that sometimes you find love where you least expect it and it isn’t always necessary to live upto your friends’ and society’s expectations.

This novella was a pleasant surprise and managed to be hilarious with some serious truths at the same time. Every girl hates to be the single one or the third wheel when all of your other friends are happily married or in relationships. And though we are regaled with stories of online dates from hell we have also heard about many successful relationships that have come out of online dating which makes us wonder what harm could come out of giving it a try, right?? Which is exactly what Sarah thinks when she signs up for an online dating service. And hilarity ensues.

I loved Sarah as a main character. She is so humorous, witty and sarcastic(my favorite kind).
“I actually said I liked sunny days and enjoyed a nice hike before curling up in front of my fireplace for a cozy night in.
Why didn’t I just add a picture of my favorite chew toy?
Of course I was a golden retriever with very expensive shoes and a condo in town, but still.”

The dating truths mentioned at the beginning of the chapters were funny and new.A few of my favorites would be-“Just when you've comfortably established a group of single girlfriend, disasters strikes.“
“There's always another another fish in the sea... it's just that we keep dumping toxic waste in the water so who knows what you'll catch next.”
“The best way to put a bad date behind you is doing something you love... unless the something you love is just more dating. Don't do that.”

Each of Sarah’s dates with Trey,Adam,Malcolm,Hank and Dave were entertaining. The secondary characters are very well developed inspite of this story being short.I loved reading Sarah’s interactions with her bestfriend Jane and with John. The last scene with Claire was awesome!

So if you’re looking for a light and laugh-out-loud funny read pick this book as it is perfect for the holiday mood!!

A light, fun, and quick, read. I'd love for the Brew Ha Ha to be a real coffee and tea cafe.
