Excellent reading for adults as well. Audiobook read by Jim Dale is outstanding.

Much like the first two books, I basically laughed and then cried my way through this one.
“It’s because of you, Perce,” said George seriously. “And there’ll be little flags on the hoods, with HB on them —” “— for Humongous Bighead,” said Fred.
I love the twins. I love Ron and Hermione. I love Hagrid and Dumbledore. All this being said, there's something about Lupin and Sirius being Harry's Dad's best friends that just makes me want to sob. I love them. Obviously Sirius has a special place in all of our hearts during a re-read but...
“I’ll understand, of course, if you want to stay with your aunt and uncle,” said Sirius. “But ... well ... think about it. Once my name’s cleared ... if you wanted a ... a different home..”
Who said that this was legal? Naw, because I'm actually not okay after that.
“You think the dead we have loved ever truly leave us? You think that we don’t recall them more clearly than ever in times of great trouble? Your father is alive in you, Harry, and shows himself most plainly when you have need of him. How else could you produce that particular Patronus? Prongs rode again last night.”
There's few books that have broken my heart as much as Harry Potter does when I think about everything that happens toward the end of the series. Goblet of Fire is next up. Robert Pattinson & I are NOT ready for this one.

To me, it seems, Rowling had more of an idea of what she wanted to happen than in the first two books. It almost feels that, with the third book, she took the series more seriously . The book is still an easy read, but a bit more advanced than the others. It's no surprise they were such good books for kids of my generation to grow up with, they grew as the target audience did. I also loved that she gave Hermoine more character in this book. She quickley went from being kinda annoying to one of my favourites.
