O'Leary has had some truly fascinating people on these shows and I was engaged right through.
1. Listening to Olivia Colman I knew I recognised the voice and half way through I just had to Google her to see where I heard her before. (I had just recently watched the first season of Broadchurch.) Love her, she is so funny.
I'm sure I've also seen Andrew Scott somewhere but not sure where.
They where so funny, I actually wished I could have been in the room with them!
2. Niall Horan was interesting to listen to. I watched some of the earlier seasons of these shows (The music shows) but somewhere stopped. The process is quite involved, and I enjoyed hearing the other side. Sounds like a great guy.
3. June Sarpong. I had no idea who she was, very vibrant and a go getter for sure. She story was fascinating and I really like what she's getting on with.
4. Martin Freeman I've seen in quite a few movies and is a great guy.
(I feel at this point I should have made my notes sooner than I have after listening to the episodes. )
5. Ben Macintyre, I haven't read any of his books and will have to dip into them sometime. (Will have to listen again, I don't really remember anything). I listened now and I hadn't listened earlier. He sounds wonderful and now I definitely want to read his books.
6. Simon Pegg. Simon Pegg. Loved this episode and I love Simon Pegg. His life story was fascinating and love him in the movies. Great actor.
7. Jesse Ware was lovely to listen to. I, too, love the idea of having people around cooking and eating and getting to know them better. I really enjoyed her vibe.
8. Arsène Wenger was such a surprising story. His life was brought to life so well. There was much I didn't know (and truly I'm not a soccer/football fan)
9. Oti Mabuse I LOVE in Strictly! Also being a Pretoria girl but with a rather different background, being white and and only really learning what Apartheid was truly about until I was older, being the biggest one. She is so full of life and a fabulous soul. I realise now that I was too comfortable and then unhappy to push myself to do what I could have.
10. Kim Hughes such a strong sounding person. Loved his job as a bomb disposal expert. I couldn't do that.
11. David Schwimmer. I didn't realise he's done so much, you only get a piece of the picture, especially with actors. Interesting.
12. Beth Rigby. I had no idea who she was going into this interview and when he said political correspondent I was 'Argh'. But I was wrong, I could have listened for hours on what she had to say. She has such a way of pulling you in. Dermot kept interrupting her and I wanted to stop him and listen further to each point.
13. Peter McGawran. I found out what a Beefeater is! He has really interesting stories to tell and what he told was so good, I wanted to hear more.
14. Samantha Cristoforetti. I wasn't one who wanted to go into space and she made it so interesting. I also would never be clever enough for that. Or that hard working.
15. Daniel Mays. I even Googled him and still don't recognise him. His story was very interesting and funny.
16. Claudia Winkleman. She so wasn't what I expected, less ditsy than I imagined. I like this person.
17. Eddie Hearn. Knew nothing about this man at all but so fascinating to listen to, so passionate about what he does, even made me want to watch boxing, and I can't handle watching boxing.
18. Nadiya Hussain I knew about Nadiya but this was a fabulous insight into who she is, and I think she's awesome!
19. Richard Curtis Someone I didn't know before but found truly engaging. I still won't be watching any boxing though.
20. Robert Jenkins Again, someone I had no idea before who they were but what a person! Rob is full of energy, which you can hear in his voice, and does amazing work. That was fascinating.
