I really loved how all the characters and stories started connecting as the book went on. It kept me engaged the entire time, but I did feel that the ending was a bit predictable. I will say that the ending was still satisfying though.

I thought the writing was pretty good in this book, and the plot definitely kept me thinking. I think the book played with some interesting ideas about generational trauma, the fake selves we show to social media, and the societal role of women to just absorb abuse and try to keep moving forward. I definitely think I'll pick up Ms. Unger again.

I really enjoyed this story from multiple points of view. However, sometimes peripheral characters' points of view were randomly added, which I didn't quite care for. It caused some confusion for me.

I was definitely stressed out by this one, but not necessarily in a good way. Infidelity (with the nanny!), blackmail, missing people - this had a lot going on! But my library checkout ran out in the middle, and I kind of didn’t care. I did ultimately finish It though. A good thriller should be unputdownable. This was…fine. ⭐️⭐️⭐️
