Started this in 2016 and decided to give it another chance since there is a movie coming out. Overall it was kind of just... silly. Hoping the movie is better.

If I had to describe this book in one word it would be 'camp'. 'My Best Friend's Exorcism' is all about how powerful the friendship between two girls can be. Grady Hendrix really does know how to bring horror, comedy, and the power of friendship together perfectly. I was hooked the entire time, and almost every page had me laughing. The only thing that was a slight let down was the horror side of things - there could have been just a touch more. This book is more about the beautiful and strong friendship between Abby and Gretchen more so than the horror-comedy book it's advertised as, which I would say as a preface to anyone wanting to pick this up. Overall, however, this was such a fun read. So thank you Grady Hendrix for showing us that the friendship between two silly and goofy girls truly can combat anything.

This was a fun read. But I found it to be a bit corny and predictable. But now I can go watch the movie and start living the spooky season right.

Was not interested at all. Characters were irrating and writing was basic as fuck
