loved this one, it finally feels like we're getting to the heart of things and I love it
heaven officia 's blessing's pacing is definitely a lot slower in general. I suspect it will pay off bu not everyone likes to stick around to see it and I get that

TW: Child death (gore)

The start of this book is brutal.

After getting Xie Lian's ascension, meeting Honghong-er and getting more time with Mu Qing and Feng Xing, we start the long and arduous fall of Xianle and the birth of the human-faced disease.

This book has one of the most upsetting scenes I've ever read with that baby being crushed under its father after they fell from the city walls. The description is so graphic

The back half of this book rewards us with lots of cute Hualian moments like 3000 lanterns, their first kiss (underwater too) and then practicing calligraphy

And then the cherry on top is a small domestic scene at the end, and then the start of the Blackwater arc. Here we go, it's time for Beefleaf!
