It was fine, entertaining enough, but kind of felt sometimes run of the mill horror and sometime gratuitous violence. I guess it was kind of a slasher novel, but then tried to be more sometimes? I did enjoy the design of the book, like an IKEA catalogue!

Loved this lil ghost story in a retail giant. Very spooky, some parts made my heart race. Some parts were super gross and made me feel sick (I’m glad I wasn’t eating while reading) like the seance scene.

This book is so great! It's really fast-paced and Hendrix is skilled at writing impactful horror scenes. It does start a little rough, with some weird details that seem to be oversights and not intentional (the number of employees would be about 3 per store according to the total worldwide, but at least six are named in one location), but it makes up for this with its quirky SCP-like energy.

edit: the number of employees may be referring to just one location. oops
