This book flew by. I think this one might be the best in the series so far. The gorgon weed felt a little tacked on, but over all it was a pretty fun read.

Ugh! Adding this one to the very short list of "books I could not finish". I can't stand books that feature Mary Sue/Gary Stu characters. This one definitely falls into that category. It was my first Cussler novel, so I suspect I won't be giving any more of his books a try.

Really liked this story idea. The fact that there's a way to live forever, and changing the laws of nature and using this as a means to start war. It would be interesting if it was real.

As for the storyline and character development, it was the usual. It would be good to have some unexpected developments i.e. death of a main character or when the bad guy succeeds.

Nevertheless, a good read.

My blog post about this book is at this link.

Scrittura sempre buona, ma al quinto libro mi sembrano giĆ  tutti uguali. Ma voglio comunque finire almeno la prima serie.

While entertaining enough, it's an inferior rehash of Sahara 's killer seaweed: the global threat is there, but too far away in the background to lend urgency to Austin & Zavala's fight against the villains, whose powers have become more superhuman over the years.
