Not much of a mystery, but an odd romp a la the Perils of Pauline.

A very entertaining entry in the series. It's no great effort to figure out the mystery - or at least aspects of it - but it's so well done and MacLeod is such a witty writer and it's been so easy to grow fond of her characters.

I can't resist an academic mystery and Peter Shandy is such a great character!
