In this 3-volume book we finally get to see the backstory of our heroic protagonists. We see the events that led them to losing their bodies and becoming state alchemists. We also meet their alchemy teacher and learn about her tragic backstory too.

I loved learning everyone’s backstory, especially teacher’s. These characters are so wonderful and I’m really enjoying this series.
