The MacGregor's Lady is the third in this series, and a fascinating addition to the MacGregor Clan. I really have loved the set up of this series, and having read most of the books in the series, except for the novella, I have come to love each sibling in the MacGregor family. So I was really excited for Asher's story. I found this story to be a sweet and sexy romance. It had many redeeming qualities, and I loved the interaction between Asher and Hannah. They were so good for each other. I really liked the realistic feel to the story and there is quite a bit of conflict that keeps the reader more satisfied by the very end. The only problem I had with this book was how I had a hard time getting fully involved in the story. Which sometimes tends to happen to me with this author. Grace Burrowes has a talent for a ability to create memorable love stories, but some of her books I have the hardest time getting fully immersed into it. I still had a enjoyable time reading this one, and there were moments I was in the story but fell right back out. So if it had been a bit more engaging for the reader, than it would have made for a superb read!! I still plan on reading more from this author, since I do always enjoy her style of storytelling. Overall The MacGregor's Lady is full of sexy characters, endearing scenes....a fun romp of a romance!!

You know what, I genuinely kind of loved this one. They were both dumdums, but in a totally understandable way, and empathetic characters, and I actually cried???!!!

After some hemming and hawing, I decided to round down from 2.5 stars. Yes, I liked the leads and I enjoyed seeing the rest of the MacGregor clan again, but I needed certain aspects of the book to be more developed. I needed more information about Hannah's home situation (and the resolution was too quick), and I needed more about Uncle Fenimore, and Malcolm's motivations - his actions seemed to come of out nowhere. I will say it was nice to see Gayle in his role as Moreland.

I spent most of this book crying my eyes out as my heart broke over and over again. There were many times when I wanted to strangle Hannah, but luckily, she got her act together in the end.

I don't read much Scottish historical romance which may be why I missed this author but that's a shame because this book was really lovely how the relationship developed. Having not read previous books in this series I did get confused when all the other family showed up and thought the last quarter a little heavy on the melodrama but overall a good read.

Another good historical romance. It was cool our male lead was half Indigenous Canadian. It was also cool to see the Windhams make an appearance in this series. It did feel like 400 pages though. Once again, I am glad to report you can read this series out of order.

I've read four or five of Grace Burrow's books. I've never finished ANY of them except for this one. I've learned to actively avoid her books but thankfully I got to this one before learning my lesson. It's the only book I've read of hers where the characters are actually interesting.
