A sapphic YA graphic novel introduces us to Charlie, who just transferred schools, and Liv, a bubbly and somewhat pushy girl who is trying to form a basketball league at the school. Liv pursues Charlie into joining the team so the league can exist. Charlie and Liv’s friendship blossoms, and at the end maybe it will blossom in to something more. We have a cast of characters that are diverse. Included are trans characters and non-binary characters. We also have some disability rep: Charlie has panic attacks and anxiety.
Overall, I enjoyed this volume that contains issues 1-4. It set up the overarching plot, introduced us to characters, and was a joy to read.

It didn’t feel like that much happened in this volumes as other first volumes I’ve read. Loved the diverse characters but didn’t feel the chemistry of the romance.
Minor: Injury/Injury detail, Mental illness, and Panic attacks/disorders
