So I’m stuck somewhere between a 2.5 and a 3. There were parts I liked about it- but I’m not sold on the ending.......

Reading a published AU fanfic written by the same author of the original work is not something I'd expected from myself, but here we are. The names for some of the characters were a little silly (really, who would name their child Royal in the 1920s) but overall, it was a solid gender-swapping adaptation. I enjoyed the AU ending where Beau actually has some consequences for his involvement with the supernatural, since Bella ended up getting the best of both worlds with her transformation.

(Rating would be closer to a 3.5 than a 4)
This was WAYYY better than I had anticipated! The story feels much more natural that I had thought it would! While I will always prefer the original, this was a really interesting way to celebrate the 10th anniversary (I still wish she had released midnight sun though).
My main issue with this book is the choice of names, almost every character has an unusual name and they aren’t they even spelt the traditional way. Which did kinda get on my nerves while reading!
While Bella and Edward’s story will always hold my heart, Beau and Edythe’s story is an enjoyable reimagining for any Twilight fan!!
(I’ll keep my fingers crossed that we might get Midnight Sun on the 20th anniversary)
