Probably would have been 4 stars except for the scenes that were just wall-to-wall f-bombs and other language. Most of the story I could handle the level of the language, but it definitely spiked during scenes with certain characters.

I think the audio book made it harder to mentally skim over the language than if I were reading in print, though ironically, I'm not sure I would have enjoyed the book much at all without the excellent narration.

Overall, PI/detective stories tend not to be my favorite, but Cormoran Strike was just slightly likeable, which makes him by far my favorite PI character of all time. ;-) I did really like the character of Robin though!
