I'm really upset because this book really disappointed me.
I read the first quarter or so but then ended up skimming the rest because I was just so bored. I definitely felt like the book was far too long and we were receiving such unnecessary information that dragged it out even more.
It had a totally different tone compared to the other books but not in a good way.
Obviously as the last book in a series I was hoping for a good ending but I felt that by the end I wasn’t even enjoying it enough to care.
I really really wanted to enjoy it but unfortunately I didn’t.

I flew through the 2nd book in this series and loved it but I found this one to be lacking. It dragged a little and I felt like there was almost too much going on. A lot of event that happened in the second book also some what happened in this one. I suppose it ended alright though, even though it did seem a little rushed. There were a couple of things that were left unsaid which was annoying. Overall it was ok. Just a lot of the same thing from the first two books, backstabbing, kidnapping and near death experiences and such. I may read the next one but also maybe not lol.
Spoiler
Such as what happened to Ryce?? He was taken away and then what? Some of the other characters endings were just a one lined conclusion which I thought was a little odd. The main thing though that really got to me was the wedding. I didn't understand the whole dress scene. Like WHY exactly was her mom so concerned about making a wedding dress that allowed her to have weapons? Just in the off chance that something would happen? Which of course it did but it just felt weird. Here is a dress that you can get married in and also fight rebels in and be protected. I mean she had time to put on other gear why not just have a wedding dress then change into your tactical gear if needed. Also WHY even have the wedding then?? I somewhat get the whole we need to do this to make her an heir but it just didn't flow well. It’s so boring in like a “ripped off The Selection and Hunger Games way too hard but failed to live up to either’s notoriety” kind of way.
I’ll start out by saying that I did enjoy this book more than I thought I would. However, my issues I had with the second book crossed over into this one.
It’s hard to be captivated by any of the character relationships in this book because they are constantly under attack. I understand that it’s the Revolution, but even in a Revolution, there’s time to take a breath and have an actual deep conversation with other characters.
I did enjoy the plot, but there was a lot that could be cut out. It felt like it was dragging toward the end because, once again, they were constantly under attack. Meaning, the plot kept repeating itself. We could have gotten to the same conclusion, with a little less attacks and a lot more character relationship building, and I would have enjoyed it a lot more.

This was my favorite book of the series it resolved alot of things and boy was it exciting to read.
I love Zea she is so awesome and Kevon annoyed me. Constantly reread the wedding scene. She got drugged a lot though
