“You're looking at me like you fell in love with me."
"I didn't fall in love with you. I flew.”

"Ugly Love" centres around Tate Collins, a nursing student who moves in with her brother for the summer and meets Miles Archer, a pilot with a troubled past. Soon, they started to develop a strong desire for each other, and they chose to maintain a no-strings-attached relationship with clear rules. But as their connection deepens, Tate and Miles find themselves facing unexpected challenges that push them beyond their plans. Does everything go the way they planned? Or will their desires lead them into deeper, uncharted emotions than they intended?
My Rating : 1⭐
My thoughts:
I am going to say this again to every Coleen Hoover’s male lead: “GO SEEK THERAPY, NOT SEX.”
Oh my god, I was so frustrated throughout the entirety of this book. Even though the storyline seemed promising at first, it quickly unravelled into a series of melodramatic and clichéd moments that left me rolling my eyes. The plot and the writing were all over the place. It felt really immature to me. It's a wonder I managed to finish this book at all.
the characters, particularly Tate lack depth and complexity. They were so pathetic and had zero self-respect for themselves. YES, I AM TALKING TO YOU TATE. This girl drove me up the wall with her decisions and lack of self-preservation.

Despite my frustrations, I can see why this book might appeal to readers looking for a dramatic and emotionally charged romance. If you enjoy intense relationship dynamics and can overlook inconsistencies in plot and character development, then 'Ugly Love' might still be worth a read. However, if you prefer more nuanced storytelling with well-rounded characters, I'd recommend exploring other options in the romance genre.

I will say as I was reading this, I wasn’t TOTALLY in love. However, the ending just completely killed me and pulled it all together and made me forget any doubt I had while reading! I’m very indecisive when it comes to how I feel about books that change perspectives every chapter but for this book it works! I was more and more excited to get to the next chapter to get the next part of each story/perspective. Definitely recommend this!

This was a really sad love story with a happy ending. I don’t really have any complaints other than it was pissing me off with how long it took to get Miles total story, but I guess I’m inpatient. This story navigated love after hurt, guilt, and deep sorrow. Happiness and love is a choice and it’s great that Miles was able to finally choose it for himself after all those years.
