Probably more 4.5 but extremely good. A little confusing at first with the alternating chapters and time frames but such an amazing story.

Read this for my book club. I did like the book and would give it 3.5 stars if I could. Wish there was more of Sarah's storyline.

This was a great book, very profound. I didn't realize the French have not had to fess up to their crimes during WWII. It seems amazing to me that they can act like they weren't involved at all in the murder of the Jews, but they were very much involved.
