If ever a book is picked for Reese Witherspoon’s Book Club read, you know that you are in for a great treat. The Club by Ellery Lloyd is precisely that.

The newly prestigious Home Club is where the rich and famous gather for some R and R from the peering eyes of the average Joe. Not everyone gets to celebrate the weekend launch. If you're lucky to be asked, there isn't any question about if you go, it is an opportunity you don't want to miss...Or so the characters in this story believe.

It is not long before it becomes apparent that all the members of this precise club have many secrets and troubles to bear. This story is a murder mystery within the highest class of society.

I struggled to put this book down. It is addictive, engaging and intriguing. The writing style and plot twists make this unpredictable and exciting reading. Full of several characters that have their purpose and the various plot twists within the story, it makes the conclusion unexpected but brilliant. This is undoubtedly one to preorder today!

started promising and i liked the premise (very soho house coded) but it dragged on for too long in my opinion, and the resolution wasn’t particularly satisfying

Audiobook. Actually enjoyed it more than I thought having made the mistake of reading the reviews before I started listening to it. Some characters and their behaviours might seem over the top but I don’t find it hard ro believe. The twists were interesting and the right people getting their comeuppance felt satisfying.

This book could’ve been 4 stars, but the descriptive writing was too much for me. I found myself skipping paragraphs at times. But overall, the ending was good. I almost DNF, but glad I pushed through it.

DNF’d at 35%. Characters were so hard to keep track of

None of the characters stood out and nearly everyone was terrible. Flat development and the change in POV was often confusing.
