DNF. I wanted to like this book so bad but it was so boring and there were so many characters to keep track of. I got to page 80 and simply couldn’t read any more.

The premise of the story is good.
The delivery is dreadful.
I’ve had 3 bad books in a row. I did not want to quit reading but should have.
There are way too many characters and I never felt interested in any of them. They were unlikable and not relatable.
The chapters were extremely long snd the level of detail describing the extensive value and poshness of the club furnishings was boring.
I honestly was not focused on the book to have followed a good amount of what happened. People died but I’m not even sure which ones they were and why and who did it. I couldn’t care less

“Everyone is dying to join…”
Set on an isolated private Island just off the English coast, an exclusive club know as Island Home is the most in demand getaway where the rich and famous come out to play away from the prying eyes of the public. What happens at Island Home stays at Island Home, however no one could have anticipated how deadly things were about to become…
The Club had so much potential, but for me it did take a bit of work to get through it. After a strong opening it loses it’s momentum fairly quickly and I felt focuses too much on the backstory for some characters that took away from the main storyline.
The mix of characters, both likeable and ones you love to hate kept things interesting, although I found there to be too many to keep track of and I was unable to really connect with them.
I enjoyed the writing style but unnecessary details did slow it down. That being said, when it found it’s mojo again around the half way mark it was full steam ahead.
I enjoyed it’s dark sinister atmosphere and plot twists which made me glad that I did persevere with it.
My first book by Ellery Lloyd didn’t give me the WOW factor I was hoping for, but there were enough positives that I would like to read more from this husband and wife duo.
