Kinda hard to find a likeable character in this one but it was an easy read.. Some slow parts but then if you don't read every nuance you will miss something. Good book club discussion, for example how you can find similar situations in real life even though it's quite over the top

This was like a much better version of The Guest List or The Hunting Party.
The first half of this book felt very similar to White Lotus to me, but the second half is much darker. It’s an unpredictable mystery, where you’re constantly trying to figure out the culprit but also, trying to figure out the crime.
3.5 rounded up to 4, I liked this book a lot but there were too many characters to keep track of
Tried to read October 2023. Could not finish. This is the slowest, least suspenseful thriller I've ever tried to read. The stakes were so low I didn't care what happened. I tried to trudge through because there was so much potential in terms of setting and celebrity characters, but it wasn't worth it.
BLURB:
(People): At a luxury island resort off England’s coast, a weekend turns unexpectedly deadly for its glamorous guests… “A perfect suggestion for lovers of locked-room and island mysteries” (Booklist).
MY THOUGHTS:
Though the premise is very good, the execution needs to quicken its pace. Even so, the characters and the suspense of the chase make this a book worth reading.

Almost DNFed this one. It was about 100 pages too long. Definitely a slow burn.
