what is the point of this book existing...
The end was good, but getting there was hard. I don't recommend doing the audio version of this. I felt like I needed an org chart to keep all the characters straight, especially between Annie, NIkki & Jess... which turns out to be important. I feel like I need to re-read/listen to it now that I know the ending.
Kind of like a train wreck - not that good, but you can’t look away
Fun mystery with a luxury setting. The perspective and timeline switches were both employed well. Some heavy material but nothing too gruesome.
Rich people manipulating other rich people and a couple of people that get caught in the middle. it was good and i'd def read another book by them. don't have much else to say tho lol
The Text Opener at the beginning of this book was the best part. It really drew me in and I was excited to read this mystery. If the entire book would have been that gripping, this would have been a 5 star read for me. But then the chapters happened…
…okay, my main problem with the chapters was that they were so long and had all the character’s perspectives. It was confusing until I read far enough in to remember which character was which and grabbed hold of the story.
The story is about a prestigious club only for the extremely rich and famous. The mystery (or shall I say mysteries) unfolds primarily through the perspectives of Jess, Nikki, Annie, and Adam. Everyone has a secret and someone is threatening to expose them.
While the end held a small bit of redemption for me, I was not extremely invested in this mystery that continued to sputter out. The epilogue was super long (which I found a tad bit strange). Just an ok read.

I found this hard to follow at times because there were so many point of view characters. I liked the story, I just wish parts of it were cut out so that it was easier to follow.
What a bunch on snooty, elitist characters. Hard to follow at times jumping between characters that at times seemed indistinguishable from each other. I did like the "murder mystery" vibe, but everything fell a little flat for me.
