This book was so captivating, yet so unsettling. Some of the imagery is still stuck in my head, even months after I'd finished it, it's pretty terrifying, but you can't stop listening. The whole production was incredible too, Kat Dennings was AMAZING, I really don't think anyone could have done a better job. Overall, it scared me so much but I still loved it.

I loved this one. It was really fun to listen to, with different voice actors and sound effects that created such a good atmosphere. Plus the storylines are genuinely interesting. 5/5

Man I loved this production so much. I was a little skeptical about an adaptation of a graphic novel series into an audiobook, but I should have trusted Gaiman. I should know he wouldn’t support anything that wasn’t perfect. The voice actors are amazing. I knew McAvoy was going to be good, but good doesn’t describe it. I’m so glad I got this and will definitely listen to it again.

The production is a work of art. I love full cast productions and I hope the success of this one encourages more. This series is almost too relentless for me. The misery and abuse isn't broken up enough with hope or wonder. About 2/3 I started to feel exhausted and a bit numb to it all. The first two books had several moments that were actually difficult to listen to.
I found Death to be an extraordinary and beautiful character and would have liked more. I found Morpheus himself interesting and compelling, for a while. His otherworldlyness fades as the stories go on though. I found that disappointing. It changes the tone of the stories. After a while it just felt like a list of mundane tragedies, but that might have been because of my fatigue with the constant misery.
