A nice quick mystery read! I was surprised by the drug issue involved given the time period it was written but maybe I shouldn’t be, haha! I will continue with the short stories for something to read in between longer books or for a refresh

I found this to be a great introduction to the detective Hercule Poirot. It was only 6 chapters long so it was a good bite-sized mystery to read to get to know the character before starting one of his novels.
The mystery itself was well written and a good introduction to Poirot's intelligence, with him being the only one to fully understand what was going on.
