This is such a phenomenal book. It’s unbelievably heartbreaking what Robbie goes through, and a testament to the world that TJ Klune set up that I could be so moved by such a premise about supernatural mind fuckery. What Robbie went through was so powerful. I was cheering him on when he broke free. I was on the verge of tears when he didn’t want to remember his past. I loved the ending, the value of a pack, the bonds that surround him, it was enough to make me feel like I was being sung home by the Bennet pack.

Also, the seamless way this book addresses the supernatural mating bond trope and includes an asexual person, just!!!!! I can’t think of a more wonderful book. This is one of my all time faves.

Had me hooked right from the start and wouldn't let me go. That first part kept me at the edge of my seat. Though there are some bits that belong in a horror movie, there was so much love in it. It was all through the book, the love between pack, friends, family, mates. It was sweet and beautiful. I would have liked a little more focus on the romance.

ROBBBBIIIIEEEEEE πŸ₯ΊπŸ₯ΊπŸ₯ΊπŸ₯ΊπŸ₯ΊπŸ₯Ί

This baby 😭 my heart broke so many times. For a character that had longed for family, for a place to belong, for so much of his life, to have that taken away from him is just gut wrenching. I love the character work done here, with Robbie, Kelly, and the rest of the pack. The trauma of being betrayed so many times would of course manifest itself, and it just makes everything so much sadder 😭 nothing quite hits like amnesia angst 😭😭😭😭

AND KELLY MY ACE KING 😍😍😍😍 I love love love love how his asexuality is handled through this. So well done. And I was rereading a section of Wolfsong, and I love how the groundwork was laid all along for him being ace; it was subtle but made it feel natural and not like an afterthought or last minute decision.

(Also Carter having a bi panic realization in the middle of a battle xjxkksbcdbsjsbs how very on brand πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚)

(m/m, ace mc, werewolves). This book is excellently eerie.
When I started it the first time, I was convinced we’d gone back in the timeline.
Satisfying romantic ending. Excellent set up for the sequel. I love getting more of Chris and Tanner, and I love the pack getting gayer. I’m also pleased with the ace representation.
The kids are appropriately terrifying.
I adore the self-awareness (gayest pack ever, self sacrificing assholes, gratuitous nudity).
