Author Jenny Proctor delivers a sweet, enjoyable Christmas romance! This charming, lighthearted holiday read had me laughing out loud from the beginning with an interesting meet cute and immediate connection between the hero and heroine. I enjoyed the first responder male lead and his sad-yet-tender backstory. Having a wealthy heroine who's stepped away from her socialite roots to forge her own path was refreshing as well.

I thought the plot to this short story was entertaining and loved the connection of exchanging anonymous, old-fashioned letters at Christmas. Of course, with a sweet old Grandma and a loving dog, the story only got better!

As always, the secondary characters were awesome and the coastal, Deep South setting was different and unique. I also enjoyed the toy drive scenes and the spirit of giving at Christmas.

Overall, this was a great little romance with plenty of attraction, chemistry, swoon and holiday spirit! A definite read for the holidays that will delight readers and warm their hearts.

This story gets ALL the stars. I read it on KU and as soon as I finished it, I immediately ordered the paperback and the Kindle versions for my bookshelves. I loved it that much! I loved the “You’ve Got Mail” elements and the ending was totally adorable. I will admit the first couple chapters nearly gave me hives imagining being stuck in the bathroom like Tess is but what a meet cute! Jenny writes the BEST stories!

I loved this novella! But it’s Jenny Proctor so of course I’d love it! Tess and Drew were great characters and I loved their interactions, in person and through the letters. I was a bit hesitant on how the reveal would go, but it was perfect. Great holiday read!

Pure fluff. Was cute enough, but almost too (set your teeth on edge) sweet. Lacked depth.

Tess is back in her hometown where her overbearing parents live. They made sure she got a good education and so on but the pressure they put on her has gotten to be too much. When Tess gets locked in a bathroom it all boils over, luckily there’s a handsome paramedic there to talk her thru it. Andrew lost his parents at a young age and wrote a letter to Santa wishing for the impossible, too get his parents back. Years later he finally got a response the two continue writing each other for weeks.

I’m so glad I started off my December reading with this one! It got me into the holiday mood and is just such a sweet read. With lots of funny moments with some emotional scenes added in.

Both mcs are super likable and you get to know both of them really well thanks to the dual pov. The family drama is a fine but it’s the one thing I’d like to change. There are other conflicts of interest that could’ve worked better in my opinion. Parents deciding who you can or can’t date as an adult, that’s weird no?

This is a perfect read if your looking for a quick and fast paced closed door holiday romance. It’s a novella that’s about 200 pages, easily read in one sitting.
