“One look down this street and you knew that kind of love didn’t live here. Everything looked so sterile, I wasn’t sure that kind of love could move in if it wanted to.”

This was the most challenging memoir I’ve read. Cupcake Brown is so strong, so determined, so inspiring. She’s really been through and done it all. This book is 100% worth the read. I’ve got tears in my eyes!

The story was too repetitive. I do understand that she needed to show how long she was stuck in the drugs but it feels like it is dragged out.

Felt like it took a month of Sunday’s because it is LONG, however I was captivated throughout most of it. There were some involuntary tears as God was working in her life! I recommend. Some parts are triggering due to several forms of abuse so heads up.

This book was excellent. It was devastating, shocking, inspiring, and humorous.

Whew chillay! I don't even know what to rate this book.......

Never connected to author’s voice and writing style. Respect sharing her story.

Honestly, if I could give this 1000 stars, I would. I’ll be thinking about this one for a WHILE.

DNF - I got 15% through this book and I just can’t.
