Although the spiders freaked me out and I am pretty sure I had nightmares because of certain scenes, this book was epic and such a strong follow-through of the first book. Also Cresswell is 😩🫠, my man 🫶

While I was able to guess whodunit in the first installment, this one was harder to pin down and I’ll give it to Kerri this time. I’m 1 for 2, but we’ll see how the next two go. This was a nice, quick read, and I found myself thinking about it often even when I wasn’t reading. Even though I gave it a 5/5 on here, I’d probably say it’s like a 7.5/10.

I love love love this book!! Wadsworth and Cresswell are at it again! This muster kept me guessing until the very end! It’s gothic and gory, but nothing high school age can’t handle. The romance is adorable and oh so frustrating! I am so exited about book 3!

Somewhere between 3,5 and 4/5 stars.
Kind of same same as book 1 but more romance. It was an enjoyable read!

I absolutely adore this story and have probably established historical fiction as my favorite go-to genre. I have never been able to relate to a character as much as I have Audrey Rose and her character development so far has been phenomenal. As for the swoon-worthy Thomas Creswell.... he has ruined chances for any non- fictional men. As for the mystery and plot line in this book, it was a lot more developed and intricate than in the previous book and I cannot wait to unravel the mystery of Houdini next.
