I don't usually give books 4 stars but this one was great. Deftly weaving Indian mythology and religion together as well as questioning it not from a critic view, but from the viewpoint of a devotee who seeks to understand, not destroy, this book traces a young Indian girls adventures with shiva, especially his sex. She wonders about the erasure of Parvati (very important question) and what their union means for hers as well. A novella of both wit and depth, I think everyone should read it!
