i had hopes, but the I started to skimmed the whole book. It wasn’t interesting to me. I just liked the small interaction the two main characters had, which btw was barely any romance in my opinion.

Is Lee Winter possibly becoming my favourite sapphic romance author? Very possibly. I love the balance of plot, romance and character development in her books. This had a great mystery that allowed the characters to naturally grow and fall in love as the plot went along. Perfect!

It was a little slow going at first, but once it caught my interest - I couldn’t put it down. Lauren is the definition of hot mess and I ate that up. I’d say this is half enemies to lovers, half grumpy/sunshine since it doesn’t fully fit in either category.
Bottom line: it was a great book and the way that Winter intertwined one hell of a mystery with a budding romance was masterful!

I did not find the dialogue engaging and the book was very slow paced for me. The last couple chapters were great though, so if you can stick it out it might be worth it.
