I definitely found London Seance Society to be a superior novel to The Lost Apothecary. The interwoven story, as chapters are given from various characters perspectives, gives a very complete picture of the at times chaotic scenes unfolding. The use of chapters on these scenes being covered from various perspectives are, brilliant and add to the depth of detail. I would highly recommend this book and look forward to what's next from Sarah Penner! I was very fond as well of the summation chapter which merely explains the historical references and inspiration, the specific societies etc researched.
