So, this book was recommended to me by someone who had read the Last Binding Trilogy (a book series i love very much and everyone should read) saying it was pretty similar which I do get. I like that the book is based off sort of off real life setting and Seance craze as stated by the author in the note they left. When I first started to book, I assumed it predictable from what I could see but as the story progressed, I realized I knew nothing of what was going to happen, guessing something spot on and others very much wildly wrong. I like that the romance was not the A plot and not even the B plot more of a side to the main course that was the 2 murder mysteries.

This book was amazing!!! I absolutely LOVED this author’s first book, The Lost Apothecary, & thought nothing else could compare but I was wrong! This book is as good - if not BETTER - than TLA.  Loved all the mystery with its many twists & turns, super strong world building, solid character development, plot, and romance of different kinds.  I highly recommend this book and can’t wait for her next one.

Fascinating. The Most interesting part of the story is the fact that you learn about the actual London Seance society and what they actually used to do through the fictional story. I love the two points of view. I saw the twist coming, but still enjoyed its unveiling. I love me a sapphic component too. It’s worth a read!

I couldn't get into this book. It was a book that caught my interest when people spoke about it online but when trying to read it, it didn't draw me in.
