This book was amazing!!! I absolutely LOVED this author’s first book, The Lost Apothecary, & thought nothing else could compare but I was wrong! This book is as good - if not BETTER - than TLA. Loved all the mystery with its many twists & turns, super strong world building, solid character development, plot, and romance of different kinds. I highly recommend this book and can’t wait for her next one.
Graphic: Child death, Confinement, Death, Violence, Blood, Grief, Death of parent, Toxic friendship, and Injury/Injury detail

Fascinating. The Most interesting part of the story is the fact that you learn about the actual London Seance society and what they actually used to do through the fictional story. I love the two points of view. I saw the twist coming, but still enjoyed its unveiling. I love me a sapphic component too. It’s worth a read!
Moderate: Bullying, Child death, Death, Misogyny, Sexism, Sexual content, Murder, and Toxic friendship
