3.5 stars, an interesting read, to say the least. Marc Levy's books always have a unique bend to them.

An easy light read, enjoyed the characters and the story. Try not to read the blurb or reviews beforehand, better enjoyed without any preconceptions or potential spoilers.

I just finished this book this morning and I’m still trying to process my feelings about it. The story is unique and I had guessed the ending well before I was halfway through so the book was a bit predictable. It was a good read though.

I liked the main character, Alice, and her neighbor, Daldry. It was easy to see the developing friendship between them and want it to happen. There are several supporting characters along the way too. Some we don’t really get to know well and others we do. Can was a delightful character who added to the story and brought charm and humor to some slower parts.

The story was really interesting starting off and I thought it was going to be a quick read. However, it soon felt like the pace had let up a little and the story was bogged down just a tad with too much detail. Towards the end as things came together the pace seemed to pick up again and the ending was what I expected it to be. A very nice ending to the story for me.

All in all this was a good story and one I am likely to remember for years to come. It was enjoyable and I recommend it.

This is about a young British woman who hears from a fortune teller that she should go to Istanbul to find a man who will be very important to her. I enjoyed the story and I liked reading about Istanbul. I thought the ending was rushed and didn't make a lot of sense. Therefore, I removed one star.

Cute story but...

The premise was cute but the constant bickering and main characters always upset with each other and then not got tiring quickly. I had trouble getting through it because I'd get bored with their dialogues and attitudes. I wanted to know the end and at some point was simply determined to see it through, but I think the relationships could've been developed better rather than the constant back and forth.
