This wasn’t anywhere near as good as book 1. And one scene really ruined the whole book for me. I won’t give away spoilers, but it was the scene with the pinecones. Absolutely ridiculous scene lol and it honestly ruined the rest of the book for me.

Not nearly as good as Orphan X. Some passages got a little boring, and some premises were much more far-fetched than what we had in the first book.

2.5 stars. Maybe this is a sophomore slump, or maybe I just like the first book more than I should have. There was a lot of repetition and more gore and violence than the repetition came both from repeating themes and activities and this vibe that what they were doing was just biting time and making the book longer

Nice

I like the humor and the little idiosyncrasies of the characters. Felt a bit scattered in this one but not at all a bad read.
