What I loved most:

➵ Geezer, the adorable senior rescue pup
➵ Rekindled friendships
I enjoyed the slow unraveling on what happened between Chloe and Eli — they used to be best friends, and then one fateful day, they stopped talking to each other. Of course they got on each others nerves in the car, and that made for an entertaining road trip. The supporting characters in this were really great as well.
I can understand Chloe’s mom’s reservations, to an extent, but both of Eli’s parents drove me wild. In the end, Chloe and Eli were able to stand up for what they wanted and their futures, and that’s a win for me.
I completely breezed through this book and highly recommend it if you’re looking for a sweet Young Adult romance with relatable characters.
